Another of the many who have held from the 90's sanbenitos "new Bob Dylan" was Dan Bern. Their homonymous debut album now holds these records for not depressed . Born in 1965 in Iowa, Daniel Bernstein becomes Dan Bern from their debut album in 1997. A disk that does not hide its proximity Bern the figure of Bob Dylan on issues such as the initial "Jerusalem", which ironically says that " if you want to get into a coffin make sure it is large with many windows ." And is that sarcasm or irony is one of the main virtues that Bern and shows as a lyricist in this debut album. Another example is what used to comment when asked about his resemblance to Dylan and the influence of this: " yes, we could say that Dylan was a kind of Dan Bern at 60 ." But Bern was not a simple clone of Dylan. Had and has its own personality, and other influences.
